Day 1
Travel to Hampshire for a 4-night stay.
Day 2
This morning we visit the historic town of Arundel, with free time to explore at your leisure. Wander through the charming streets lined with listed buildings, browse the independent shops and cafés, or perhaps visit the impressive castle and cathedral. This afternoon we continue to the beautiful cathedral city of Chichester, where you can enjoy more free time to explore the city's historic streets, shops and attractions at your own pace.
Day 3
Meet your local guide for the day, who will bring to life some of the area's fascinating military history, including a visit to The D-Day Story, telling the moving story of the liberation of Europe. Enjoy some free time in the historic village of Southwick, which played a significant role in the planning of the D-Day landings. This afternoon, continue to the fascinating Fort Nelson, a Victorian Fortress overlooking Portsmouth harbour with 19 acres of ramparts and tunnels packed with artillery from across the world.
Day 4
Enjoy a trip across the Solent today on the world's only year-round passenger hovercraft service, whisking you from the shoreline at Southsea to the charming resort of Ryde on the Isle of Wight, with plenty of time to explore this quaint seaside town at leisure. You may wish to visit the unique Donald McGill 'Naughty Postcard' Museum or browse the great independent shops and cafes on offer.
Day 5
After breakfast sadly it's time to check out of our hotel and begin our journey
