Chester City Break
The Queen at Chester is centrally located, just a short walk from Chester city centre and is one of the oldest hotels in the UK, having originally been built to serve the train station in 1860. The hotel’s elegant style includes quirky touches which provide an interesting twist to its traditional origins. All 218 stylish bedrooms are comfortably furnished, the restaurant is cosy and the bar and lounge areas are traditional in style with sofas and chairs. There is also a fabulous courtyard terrace with water features.
Day 1
After a morning departure, we travel to Chester, making suitable comfort stops en route before enjoying free time to explore this historic city.
Day 2
This morning is yours to enjoy at leisure. This afternoon, we head to the beautiful River Dee for a relaxing 30-minute city cruise, taking in the scenery and views of the ancient city from a different perspective.
Day 3
This morning, we enjoy a fascinating guided walking tour of Chester led by a Roman soldier. Dressed in full Roman uniform, our guide brings over 2,000 years of history to life while showcasing the city's highlights. This afternoon, enjoy more free time to explore Chester at your own pace, browse the unique shops or relax in one of the city's many cafés.
Day 4
Sadly it is time to head for home, making comfort stops en route.
