Torquay Devon's Rivers & Railways

Day 1

We will travel to Torquay with comfort stops en route, arriving at the Belgrave Sands Hotel in the late afternoon. Enjoy the hotel's facilities or relax in the lounge before our 5-course evening meal and entertainment.

Day 2

Today we enjoy a wonderful day exploring the beautiful South Devon coastline. We begin by boarding the Dartmouth Steam Railway in Paignton for a memorable journey to Kingswear, travelling alongside stunning coastal scenery. From Kingswear, we continue by passenger ferry across the River Dart to Dartmouth where we join a relaxing circular River Dart Cruise. Along the way, admire wonderful views of Kingswear and Dartmouth Castles, the village of Dittisham, Britannia Royal Naval College and Agatha Christie's famous Greenway House. Later this afternoon, we retrace our journey back to Paignton by ferry and steam train before returning to the hotel.

Day 3

Today is yours to enjoy at leisure in Torquay. Stroll along the promenade, browse the shops, relax in one of the many cafés or perhaps visit Torre Abbey or the picturesque harbour. However you choose to spend your day, you'll have plenty of time to enjoy this popular English Riviera resort before returning to the hotel for your 5-course evening meal and entertainment.

Day 4

Following breakfast, we will start our journey home, making comfort stops along the way.
